Who we are
Jillian Cocayne for School Board 2026 is a candidate committee registered with the California Secretary of State, FPPC ID #1469239, supporting Jillian Cocayne for the Encinitas Union School District Board of Trustees.
What we collect
When you sign up on this website, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, mailing address, and, if you choose to provide it, your mobile phone number. We also collect ordinary website data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. If you contribute to the campaign, we collect the information California law requires us to collect and report.
How we use it
We use this information to communicate with you about the campaign by email, text message, mail, and phone; to organize volunteers and events; and to meet our reporting obligations under California campaign finance law.
SMS and mobile information
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information (IP address, browser type, and similar data) exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Text message opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop receiving email. Email campaign@jillian4eusd.com to be removed from our mail or phone lists.
Retention
We keep the information you provide through the end of the 2026 election cycle and for as long afterward as California campaign finance recordkeeping rules require. Mobile numbers that have opted out are retained only on our suppression list, so that we do not text you again.
Required disclosures
California campaign finance law requires the campaign to publicly report the name, address, occupation, and employer of contributors who give $100 or more. That reporting obligation is separate from this policy and is not affected by it.
